To be eligible for enrollment, a child should be between 3 and 5 years of age by September 1st of the school year.

Our admission process is as follows:

  3. 2.Upon receipt of your application, an interview with you and your child will be scheduled with the director and lead teacher.

  4. 3.The teaching staff makes all admissions decisions. These decisions are based on an evaluation of the child and parent interview, and the needs and structure of the existing class. If a position is available for your child, a non-refundable registration fee (see Tuition & Fees table below) should be submitted with a signed enrollment agreement.

  5. 4.Upon receipt of the registration fee and the enrollment agreement, we will hold a place for your child in our program. Upon acceptance, you are contractually obligated to one year's tuition.

Application fee. This one-time application fee is non-refundable and is due with the completed application form. Upon receipt of the application fee and form, an interview will be scheduled. Required for all new applicants, the application fee is not applied toward tuition.

Registration fee. Submit the completed enrollment agreement and the registration fee to enroll your child in the 2016-2017 class. The registration fee is applied toward the total tuition. The remainder of the tuition is payable using one of the payment options described below.

Materials fee. This is an annual fee applied toward the purchase and maintenance of learning materials for your child’s Montessori environment. It is due by May 1 of the preceding school year.

Annual tuition. This is the annual tuition for enrollment at Children’s House of Old Town. Tuition may be subject to a discount, depending on the payment option selected or the number of siblings simultaneously enrolled at the school. Tuition is payable using one of the payment options described below.

Payment options:

  1. Single payment plan. 5% discount on the balance due (Annual Tuition minus Registration Fee). Registration fee is not discounted. Full payment is due by September 1 of the school year.

  2. Monthly payment plan. Based on a 10-month payment plan (Registration Fee + 9 monthly payments). Payments are due by the 1st of each month from September to May. A late fee of $50.00 is assessed for payments received after the 10th of the month.

Sibling discount. For families using the monthly payment plan, monthly tuition for each additional child from the same family will be discounted 5%. The discount applies to the younger students’ tuition. Registration fees are not discounted.

Families using the single payment plan receive a discount through the payment plan. The sibling discount cannot be combined with the single payment plan discount.
